How To Renew Your NASM Nutrition Coach Credential

FAQs

The NASM CSNC certification must be renewed every two (2) years to ensure that NASM CSNC professionals are current with best practice guidelines.

CEUs or Continuing Education Units are based upon contact hours. Contact hours are defined by the number of clock hours spent in direct participation in a structured educational format. One (1) contact hour is equivalent to point-one (0.1) CEU.

The NASM CSNC credential will expire if all renewal requirements have not been met by the expiration date. Renewal applications can be submitted up to one year late if all continuing education courses have been completed before or within 90 days of the certification expiration date. Additional fees will apply.

A CPR/AED certification is not required in order to renew your Sports Nutrition Coach certification.

If your application is chosen for audit, you will have 30 days to submit all requested supporting documentation to the NASM Recertification Department.

As of September 1st, 2024, NASM transitioned to exclusively providing digital credentials. This decision aims to embrace the latest technologies to support ease of use, speed to share, and environmental sustainability. Both your Digital Badge and Digital Certificate are available in the Customer Portal within one business day of successful renewal.

Digital Badges enable you to easily display qualifications, certifications, and areas of expertise in a visually appealing and easily shareable format. They provide a convenient way to differentiate yourself, while also enabling potential clients, employers, and industry peers to quickly assess skills and verify your credentials.

Digital Certificates can be downloaded and saved on as many devices as you want, and you can print unlimited copies of your certificate.

*Excludes CPT and bundles with CPT. Exams, workshops, Gymternship, administrative fees, re-enroll packages, and courses included in NASM One do not get the 50% discount.
