Protect the Athlete: Ankles, Knees, and Youth Considerations
Make injury-risk reduction explicit: ankle stability and mobility work, hip and glute strength for knee control, and landing-mechanics maintenance year-round. For female athletes, who face elevated ACL risk, valgus-control and deceleration training deserve deliberate, ongoing emphasis.
