How do the exams work?
Certified Wellness Coach
The NASM CWC exam is administered online within your customer portal. There are 100 multiple-choice questions, and you'll have 120 minutes to complete it. A score of 70% or better is required to pass.
Included in your Certified Wellness Coach program are the Wellness Coaching Business Blueprint and the Wellness Coaching Simulation.

Wellness Coaching Business Blueprint has 10 quiz questions at the end of each of the five modules of the course or, in total, 50 questions.

Certified Nutrition Coach & Weight Loss Specialization

What if I do not pass the exams?
You have 365 days from the date of purchase and three attempts to pass your Certified Wellness Coach, Certified Nutrition Coach and Weight Loss Specialization exams.
If you need an extension or a retest, you can purchase one by calling Member Services at 1-800-460-6276 Option 3.
Do I have to renew my certifications?
Both the Certified Wellness Coach and Certified Nutrition Coach credentials must be renewed every two years. The Weight Loss Specialization will never expire and does not need to be renewed.
