NASM and PennWest California partnered in 2003 to deliver some of the nation’s top online exercise science based degrees in the health and fitness industry.

Programs Details
PennWest California Bachelor of Science Degree:
This accelerated, 100% online educational program is the first of its kind. You can now receive your Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Wellness completely online in less time than traditional, campus-based programs. Students are prepared to sit for NASM’s Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) examination.
PennWest California Master of Science Degrees:
NASM has worked closely with PennWest California to collaboratively develop an exciting, relevant and practical master’s degree program that is delivered 100% online. Designed for the busy professional, PennWest California students can complete their degree in just one year while continuing their industry professions. This master’s degree program incorporates and prepares students in the NASM CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist) or the NASM PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) or the NASM CPT (Certified Personal Trainer).
PennWest California Post-Master’s Certificates:
NASM has also worked closely with PennWest California to collaboratively develop an exciting, relevant and practical post-graduate certificate program that is delivered 100% online. Designed for the busy professional, who already possess a Master’s degree in a related degree area (Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, etc.), PennWest California students can complete a single certificate track by taking only four courses, while continuing their industry professions.

NASM is proud to support the development and professionalization of the health, fitness, performance, and sports medicine industry through its higher education initiatives. Award winners will receive full graduate tuition funding for any of the online Master of Science degree tracks offered at PennWest California. Pursuit of Excellence Award applications will be available in late-summer.
