Region: Arm

Origin: Lower 1/2 of the anterior surface of the humerus .

Insertion: Tuberosity and coronoid process of the ulna.

Isolated function: Assists in concentric acceleration of elbow flexion.

Integrated function: 
-Assists in eccentric deceleration of elbow extension.
-Assists in dynamic stabilization of the elbow complex.

Nerve Supply: Branch of musculocutaneous, C5, 6, additional branch from radial nerve, C7.
