Candidates have 180 days from the date of purchase to attempt the exam. Exam attempts expire after 180 days of purchase. Additional retests (exam attempts) can be purchased after this period.

Although NASM offers fitness trainer certification preparation materials, candidates are not required to purchase, enroll or participate in any NASM-educational offering.

CPT Purchasing Process

  1. Purchase:
    Enroll into the NASM CPT course.
  2. Reimbursement:
    After you enroll into your NASM CPT course, use your receipt as proof of enrollment and submit it to VA Affairs to seek reimbursement. (The current VA reimbursement for the NASM CPT is up to $549.)

NOTICE: Improper use of the NASM Military discount is considered fraud and a violation of the NASM Code of Professional Conduct which may result in disciplinary action from the NASM Board of Certification.

If you are not qualified to participate in the NASM Military program, do not purchase your CPT through the "Buy here" buttons on this page. Instead, purchase your CPT package online at: www.nasm.org/GetCertified.
