Apply Today For The Winter 2010 Pursuit of Excellence in Health & Fitness Award

Calabasas, Calif. (September 2, 2009)– The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a global leader in personal training certification and sports performance training, and its higher education partner, California University of Pennsylvania (CalU), are now accepting applications for the Winter 2010 Pursuit of Excellence Award

Through its collaborative partnership with CalU, NASM offers the Pursuit of Excellence Award in Health & Fitness. Two individuals will be selected as the recipients of this unique award and receive full tuition funding (valued at more than $15,000) to be applied toward a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion at CalU in one of four internet-based tracks: 

  • Wellness and Fitness
  • Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention
  • Rehabilitation Science
  • Sports Psychology

“NASM is pleased to offer this great opportunity to two qualified recipients two times each year,” said Dr. Micheal Clark, NASM chief executive officer.  “With the education recipients receive from CalU they will be equipped with all the tools needed to not only advance their own careers, but become leaders in the health and fitness industry.” 

The award will coincide with CalU’s January 2010 enrollment.

 

Applications are now being accepted and are due November 2, 2009. 

International candidates are encouraged to apply.

Take your health and fitness career to the next level with a convenient online Bachelor of Science Degree from CalU. You can now receive your Bachelor of Science in Wellness and Fitness completely online in less time than a traditional, campus-based program.

This program is designed for busy health and fitness professionals and will prepare students to work in wellness and fitness settings including fitness clubs, spas, corporate fitness, strength coaching, high school and collegiate athletics, and many other fitness and wellness settings.

Enrollment is limited, so if you are interested, contact bsfitness@calu and specify that you are interested in the Bachelor of Science in Sport Management: Wellness and Fitness track. Financial Aid is also available for undergraduate CalU students.
