You can verify this by going to www.gibill.va.gov and clicking Education Program Benefits (on left side of screen). Drop down to Search for Approved Education Programs and click on it. Scroll down to Search for Approved License and Certification Programs. Click on the search here link:
In the Search Filters:
- Type the name of the License or certification: Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
- Under LAC Category Type make sure it is listed as Certification
- Filter your search by selecting a state -- or you can just click Search by Country
- Finally, click Search
- Under Description click Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), to see that we are approved
Process:
- Enroll into the NASM CPT 3
- Submit proof of enrollment -- after you enroll from your member page (www.nasm.org) -- to VA Affairs to seek reimbursement
